Playing at home on an unseasonably warm and sunny late October day, Deerfield was able to defeat Andover, 3-0. In front of a loud and positive home crowd, Deerfield notched a victory over NMH, winning 3-0 with set scores of 25-17, 25-7, and 25-10. Soccer (Boys): Junior Varsity vs. Suffield Academy (11/08/23 3:00 PM)

With clouds and temperature in the low 40s, we played Suffield at home to a chilly 1-1 draw. Suffield earned a penalty shot in the opening minutes, which they converted. Congratulations to this week’s Doors of the Week! Girls Track & Field – Alex Hermsdorf  ’25 This athlete surprised herself with a sub-27 200m run during the mock meet. She was asked to be an alternate for the 4×100 team and jumped right in when she was needed. “That our classmate Hedgman Smith died in 2017: Hedgman passed away suddenly July 25, 2017 at The Seasons in Cincinnati, OH. Hedgman held degrees from Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, MA; the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, (BA History and JD Law) and the Parsons School of Design, New York, NY. Hedgman began his career teaching history and serving as a counselor at Sayre School in Lexington, KY. After obtaining his bachelor of fine arts from Parsons,
