Fitness Center

The newly renovated Fitness Center offers 7,000 square feet for state of the art equipment, nearly tripling fitness & workout space for students, faculty, staff and other members of the community. The facility includes separate levels for cardiovascular & free weight equipment, an indoor track and a complete circuit of personal selection strength training equipment.

Classes

SPINNING with Gabi Biscottini: Tuesdays at 6:30am in the Koeppel Family Spin Room (sign up via email @etheriault.edu)

The ultimate indoor cycling experience! A high energy class with great music and a motivating instructor riding a varied mixture of flats, hills & sprints while burning calories all the way! 30-45 minutes and appropriate for riders at any level. Please be sure to bring a water bottle, a towel, and a pair of sneakers or cycling shoes to class.

PILATES with Lesly Crosby: Monday at 5:15-6:15pm in Studio #1

Pilates conditioning offers the opportunity to improve your fitness level, strengthen and increase range of motion, centering on the powerhouse of the body; the core. The class will be joyfully challenging and flow with energy and creativity.

Come prepared to improve posture, enhance muscle recruitment and overall stamina. The mat work can be modified to various fitness levels so that each student can work at the appropriate level.

YOGA with Lesly Crosby: Thursdays at 6:00-7:00am in Studio #1

Flow yoga will uplift and recharge your body, create awareness of the mind/body connection and improve all over body conditioning. The balance of the poses with the connection of breath will allow the body to open, build strength, balance and flexibility and promote a healthy flow of life force that will enhance every day life and well-being.

YOGA with Lindel Hart: Tuesdays at 5:00-6:00pm in Studio #1 & Sundays at 9:30-11:00am in Studio #1

This class provides ways of strengthening and healing the body through yoga postures and breath awareness.

POWER YOGA with Lindel Hart: Mondays at 6:00-7:00am in Studio #1

Experience a serious workout where traditional yoga postures flow into muscle conditioning and endurance movements.

WATER AEROBICS

Water provides an exceptional environment for exercise, allowing comfortable toning and muscle strengthening. This class also focuses on flexibility and range of motion.

Frequently Asked Questions

The athletic facilities, including the gym, pool, tennis courts, and squash courts, are open to all students, faculty, and staff during their hours of operation. At the beginning of the year all students participate in an orientation that walks them through proper use of the fitness center, and all new students take a required swim test before they can use the pool. Hours for athletic facilities are posted online.

All students, faculty, and staff can seek help from Deerfield’s skilled athletic training staff regardless of their involvement in Deerfield athletics.
