The team views the experience as an important bonding opportunity that prepares them for success at the NEPSAC Championship, which takes place in early March.

After Swimmers and Divers conclude classes on Thursday, they will depart campus to fly to Florida. They will spend three days training outdoors in the International Swimming Hall of Fame pool in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to rigorous workouts, the team will enjoy time at local beaches and restaurants.

Boys & Girls Rowing

Florida, March 16–23, 2025

The Boys and Girls Rowing teams will travel to Sarasota, FL during our March spring break for a week of preseason training.  The primary purpose of this trip is to engage in the necessary training for a successful spring season, but the true value lies in the opportunities for the team to begin developing their shared goals and values, to have conversations with one another that time or schedule might not permit while on campus, and to establish a standard of behavior and accountability that will support a positive and productive season.  Much of each day will be committed to training, however there will be time for team activities that are social and fun while also providing opportunities for student leadership and reflection.

Boys Lacrosse

Florida, March 17–23, 2025

The Boys Lacrosse team has traveled to various locations for their annual preseason trip, including IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in California.  This year’s trip destination is planned to be in Florida and will follow a one of the previous trips taken, the final destination is still being confirmed.

The team will enjoy sunshine, premier training facilities, and superb competition. Players participate in two practices each day and leave plenty of time for shared experiences and leadership development.  After the week trip, the team returns to Deerfield with an increased sense of community and excitement for the upcoming season–historically one of the most challenging schedules in all of New England.
