Deerfield Athletics Trips

Florida

The Varsity Swimming & Diving team travels to Florida during the Long Winter Weekend break in February for several days of team training and camaraderie.  Swimmers and divers from both the girls’ team and the boys’ team look forward to the opportunity to travel and train together.  The team views the experience as an important bonding opportunity that prepares them for success at the NEPSAC Championship, which takes place in early March.

After Swimmers and Divers conclude classes on Thursday, they will depart campus to fly to Florida. They will spend three days training outdoors in the International Swimming Hall of Fame pool in Fort Lauderdale. In addition to rigorous workouts, the team will enjoy time at local beaches and restaurants.

Estimated trip cost: $1,750-$2,250 (final costs for the trip will be available in the New Year)

February 1

  • Students and coaches will depart from Deerfield, MA.
  • Flight to West Palm Beach, FL. This arriving flight has already been booked by Deerfield and is included in the cost of your trip.
  • A coach bus will drive the team to their local hotel.

February 2-4

  • Students will enjoy daily training at outdoor pool facility and team meals at local restaurants

February 5

  • Return flight from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Hartford, CT. This flight has already been booked by Deerfield and is included in the cost of your trip.
