Deerfield Athletics Trips

Florida

The Varsity Swimming & Diving team travels to Florida during the Long Winter Weekend break in February for several days of team training and camaraderie.  Swimmers and divers from both the girls’ team and the boys’ team look forward to the opportunity to travel and train together.  The team views the experience as an important bonding opportunity that prepares them for success at the NEPSAC Championship, which takes place in early March.

Swimmers and Divers conclude classes midday on Thursday and enjoy an afternoon of practice together in the Koch Pool.  They depart campus and fly to Florida, where they spend the next three days training intensely and enjoying the warm sunshine.  The team swims in outdoor pools and enjoys excursions to local beaches and restaurants.

February 2

  • Students and coaches will depart from Deerfield, MA.
  • Flight to Fort Lauderdale, FL. This flight arriving flight has already been booked by Deerfield and is included in the cost of your trip.
  • Arrive at hotel in Fort Lauderdale

February 2-5

  • Students will enjoy daily training at outdoor pool facility and team meals at local restaurants

February 6

  • Return flight from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Hartford, CT. This flight has already been booked by Deerfield and is included in the cost of your trip.
