The Boys and Girls Rowing teams travel to Florida during the spring break in March for about a week of preseason training. The primary purpose of the Rowing trip is to train ahead of the spring season, but the true value lies in the opportunities for the team to begin developing their shared goals and values, to have conversations with one another that time or schedule might not permit on campus, and to establish a standard of behavior and accountability. Much of each day is committed to training, however there is time for team activities that are social and fun, but also provide opportunities for student leadership and reflection.
