Deerfield student-athletes participate in various athletic trips throughout the course of the year. These trips are optional experiences for coaches and teams, and they typically take place during the preseason period for the sports’ respective season. The purpose of athletic trips is to provide student-athletes with an opportunity to develop their skills practice as a team, and share experiences in advance of the upcoming season.

November 16-20, 2023
The boys hockey team will travel to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The team will begin the trip with team bonding while taking in a Montreal Canadiens game . Practices and scrimmages will take place at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard, as well as at Lower Canada College. There will be plenty of team bonding activities, including meals out, and exploring the Montreal culture. The group will wrap up on the morning of November 20th, before the group disburses to begin their Thanksgiving break.
November 17-19, 2023
The girls varsity hockey team will remain on-campus for the start of Thanksgiving break to start their 2023-2024 season. The group will train together and compete in a scrimmage in the class of 1993 rink. In between practices and the scrimmage the squad enjoy team bonding activities.
November 18, 2023
The boys basketball team will host Canterbury School at Deerfield Academy for a preseason scrimmage. Following the game, the group will disburse to begin their Thanksgiving break.
