Deerfield Athletics Trips

The Boys Lacrosse team has traveled to various locations for their annual preseason trip, including IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in California.

This year’s trip destination is planned to be in both Delray Beach and Orlando, FL. The group will begin the week in Delray Beach and enjoy team training and compete in a pre-season scrimmage. Towards the end of the week, the squad will travel to Orlando, FL to compete at the Hogan Lax Training at the Boombah Sports Complex. 

The team will enjoy sunshine, premier training facilities, and superb competition. Players participate in two practices each day and leave plenty of time for shared experiences and leadership development.  After about a week, the team returns to Deerfield with an increased sense of community and an excitement for the upcoming season – historically one of the most challenging schedules in all of
New England.

Approx. Trip Cost (Includes one-way estimated flight from ORLANDO to Hartford, CT)

 

Estimated trip cost: $2,000-$2,500 (final costs will be available in the New Year)

  • Arrival flight cost and booking is the responsibility of the participating student and their family. The coaches request that accepted students arrive on Monday, March 11 into the Fort Lauderdale Airport between 12-3pm. 

2024 Preliminary Itinerary

*This itinerary is subject to change.

March 11

  • Students will arrive to Ft. Lauderdale Airport and be shuttled to their hotel by coaches. 
  • Arrival flight cost and booking is the responsibility of the participating student and their family. The coaches request that accepted students arrive on Monday, March 11 into the Fort Lauderdale Airport between 12-3pm. 
  • The group will move-in to the hotel and have a team meeting prior to their first team practice

March 12-15

  • Daily practices and scrimmages
  • Student will enjoy meals from different restaurants in the area.
 
March 15-16
  • The team will depart from Ft. Lauderdale and travel by coach bus to Orlando, FL to complete their preseason trip with scrimmages against other teams. 

March 17

  • Depart from Ft. Lauderdale on mid-morning flight to Hartford, CT. This flight has been booked by Deerfield and is included in the cost of the trip.
