Tim Day was honored with a Plaque Dedication service at the Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial on May 3, 2014. Mt. Soledad is a prominent San Diego landmark on which over 3,000 plaques honoring veterans, living and deceased who have served our country, have been placed on the walls of the Memorial. The granite plaques tell the stories of men and women who have proudly served our country to “help protect the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.” Tim’s wife, Sandy, his children, grandchildren, friends, and Major General Carl E. Mundy III, representing the Commandant of the Marine Corps, attended the ceremony.
