Michael Sneyd shares obituarty of brother Steve Sneyd: “After Steve returned to England in 1958 he attended Bristol University where he studied chemistry. After graduation he worked for a while for the large chemical company ICI. After that he moved into the field of copywriting and for many years worked for the Manchester Evening News. Apart from his professional life Steve was a prolific poet and in this field he established a considerable reputation. He had a particular interest in science fiction poetry and in 2015 he became one of the six Grand Masters of Science Fiction Poetry, a very prestigious award. If you google ‘Steve Sneyd poet’ you will find a number of websites devoted to him, including some with interviews with him.
