Carla and I are planning a trip to Monaco in late October to attend a reunion of former employees of Pan American Airways, where I toiled as a B-747 captain for quite a few years before that great airline’s demise. In fact, I flew the last 747 out of South America the day the whole thing ended. Interesting to note that even 21 years after Pan Am’s last flight, there will be 700 former Pan Amers at the reunion…one of the hosts is Prince Albert of Monaco.
