John Gladstone Mills III, Class of 1969, has been appointed as a Research Associate at the Center for Innovation of The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City. John served as Senior Patent Counsel to the United States Navy and is currently a consultant to the Navy on Open Architecture Systems. He also authors the treatise Patent Law Fundamentals published by Thomson Reuters. John has a doctorate in law (S.J.D.) from the Georgetown University Law Center, and an Engineering degree from The Cooper Union. He can be reached at jmills@cooper.edu.
