Stephen E Chalmers ’59 reports ‘The last time I saw Paris… I have been “working” on climate change. Looking for an action that might (long shot) really make a difference I found the CCL .
Their idea is a revenue – neutral carbon tax that returns revenue to each US household monthly, off-setting an inevitable rise in prices.
CCL put 1,000 citizen lobbyists in WDC last week (i.e. volunteer, unpaid constituents); a record number. For those disappointed in the Paris withdrawal, you may find the CCL interesting.
