Our 2014 travel to Melbourne, Australia was a major event for Anne (who had not visited her daughter, Michelle — her only child — for two decades) during the late weeks of her daughter’s pregnancy with her first child. On January 16, 2015 in Melbourne, Australia: Grace Youran Li was born to Michelle Qian Guo and her husband Shenpeng Li (who is living in Australia while persuing a PhD). Michelle and Shenpeng were delighted to welcome their daughter, Grace Youran Li. Youran, the spelling of this Chinese name is in Pin yin; it’s symbolic meaning: leisurely, unhurried. The choice of Grace’s Chinese name was disclosed while we visited her parents during the closing weeks of 2014 in Melbourne, Australia. We are particularly amused that Grace’s ‘due date’ was 10 January 2015 and her ‘birthday’ is 16 january 2015. Both “leisurely” and “unhurried” are appropriate references for Grace – How Ironic!
