As announced today, the boys varsity tennis team earned a spot to compete in their post-season tournament. Yesterday’s clutch 4-3 victory over the visiting Fighting Cats from Cheshire extended the team’s unbeaten streak to 8 straight matches and proved to be instrumental in helping the Big Green clinch their spot in the 2017 Class A NEITA Team Championship. The winner of the Deerfield/Hotchkiss match will face the winner of the Groton/Kingswood-Oxford match in the semifinals. The semifinal match will be played later on Saturday at 2pm.
