A Perfect Wednesday for the Big Green, 13-0

Yesterday marked an impressive day for the Big Green – all Deerfield teams went undefeated, combining for a 13-0 sweep of their opponents!

JV baseball earned the first win of the day by defeating visiting NMH with a score of 16-6. Girls JV lacrosse sealed their “nail bitter” home win against Loomis Chaffee, 12-9.

Boys varsity and JV tennis used home court advantage to each sweep Westminster by a score of 7-0.

Girls JV tennis traveled to NMH to earn a road win, 9-1, against the Hoggers.

Girls varsity lacrosse sealed a huge home win, 11-9 over Loomis Chaffee. The Big Green defense came up big in the 2nd half allowing Deerfield’s offense to gain the advantage over the Pelicans for the victory.

Comebacks were the story for varsity baseball and softball yesterday. At the top of the 5th inning varsity baseball trailed at Cushing 1-4, but the Big Green team rallied to prevail over the Penguins by a score of 6-4. Varsity softball earned a similar comeback win, the team rallied in the 6th inning to score 4 runs to tie the game at 5-5. The Big Green scored another 7 runs in the 7th inning to seal the 12-7 victory.

JV golf earned an away win at Williston by a score of 5-1 and the varsity golf team played NMH head-to-head on the Taconic Golf Course and were victorious, 8.5-0.5

In the pool, girls varsity water polo defeated Loomis by a score of 8-4. Nikita Pelletier scored a hat-trick for the Big Green!

The boys lacrosse teams were on the road yesterday. Boys JV traveled north to Cardigan Mountain to capture a road win, 11-4. Boys varsity traveled south to Yale to play a neutral site game versus conference opponent Lawrenceville. The Big Green were victorious by a score of 17-4!
