Friday at 11:15 pm, after check in, the Deerfield EcoReps will be hosting a Zoom screening of Purple Mountains, a film starring professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones. We’ll be giving out prizes to trivia respondents throughout the film, such as Hangar gift cards, food truck fast passes, and Protect Our Winters merch. Purple Mountains follows Jones as he seeks to reach climate change skeptics through a love of the mountains. Jones has been riding professionally for over two decades now, playing a huge role in the evolution of snowboarding throughout his illustrious career. The film combines freeride snowboarding with climate activism, following Jones from Himalayan spines to the Nevada backcountry, from hearings in Congress to living room zoom calls.
