On Saturday, the Big Green boys varsity tennis team extended its winning streak to six matches with a 6-1 triumph over Exeter’s Big Red. The team is now 8-3 on the season.
Deerfield took the doubles point with wins at the second and third positions. After clinching with three singles wins on Exeter’s four indoor courts, the remaining two matches were played with abbreviated formats.

Included in the six game winning streak, are defeats over Hotchkiss (5-2), Williston (7-0), Choate (5-2), Westminster (7-0), and NMH (5-0). Furthermore, the Big Green have won the doubles point in all six matches, and have also gone undefeated at the fourth, fifth, and sixth singles spots during that time.
Currently, Gideon Yektai ’18 and Deepak Pathapati ’20 lead the team this season with 17 individual wins each.
Deerfield returns to the court this afternoon as they welcome Suffield. The matches will get underway at 4:30pm.
