During this year’s Fall Family Weekend, which runs from October 20-22, faculty advisors will serve as parents’ and guardians’ primary point of contact, as was the case last fall. Each family will be able to schedule a 15-minute conference with their student’s faculty advisor. Advisors will have an opportunity to connect with their advisees’ teachers during a Special Faculty Meeting in the 1953 Gym on Thursday, October 19 at 10:05-10:50. Please be especially sure to communicate with teachers of any courses in which an advisee is struggling.

Faculty advisors will have one-on-one conferences with their advisees’ families on Friday, October 20, between 1:45-3:45pm (co-curriculars start at 4pm), or on Saturday, October 21, between 9:00am-11:00am. These conferences will be 15 minutes in length, and they will be scheduled by the Academic Affairs Office through our scheduling software pickAtime. All faculty who have advisees should fill out this form by 11:59pm on Sunday, September 24 to indicate any conflicts they may have during the scheduled times. All advisors are expected to have some availability on both days. Please remember that some families will only be able to attend one day of Family Weekend, and we want them to have the opportunity to meet with you. If you are unavailable for any full day, please ensure you have received permission from the Dean of Faculty, Ivory Hills. If you have any questions about the form, please contact Hannah White.

Please Note:
• Co-curriculars start at 4pm on October 20. We suggest that coaches (that are also advisors) who live farther from campus pack a bag with clothes to change into, so they don’t need to rush home in-between conferences and co-curriculars (this also allows them more time to meet with parents/guardians).
• Please do not assume that our office has knowledge of other commitments you may have outside of the class day (such as athletics, FFW commitments, child care, special circumstances, etc.). If you have a conflict on Friday and/or Saturday, please be sure to let us know by filling out this form.
• If faculty advisors do not fill out this form, we will assume they have no conflicts and will mark them as available for the duration of Friday’s and Saturday’s conference time slots.
