Don’t forget the SOUL FOOD!

Exploring activism and leadership through the lens of the American Civil Rights movement is sure to work up an appetite.  While we traverse the American South, we will also sample some of the food for which they are known.  My (Mrs. Hutchinson’s) personal favorites from the trip are southern shrimp & grits, collards, and mac & cheese from Paschal’s in Atlanta; fried green tomatoes and fried oysters from Wintzell’s in Montgomery, and dry rub ribs from Rendevous in Memphis. (Don’t worry, there is food for vegetarians and vegans down south, too!). Remember that the deadline to apply for a CSGC trip is today by 9:45 pm.
