The Deerfield Academy Visual and Performing Arts Department is thrilled to present the Fall Arts Extravaganza. Hundreds of talented student artists, dancers, actors, musicians, and technicians will showcase their Fall work digitally, with watch parties happening throughout the weekend across campus.
Cocurricular musicians perform The Carnival of the Animals with music by Saint-Saëns, Schubert, and Copland; the Theater Program presents Philip Grecian’s radio play version of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”; the Dance Program presents “Emergence”, a site-specific dance video project; and Post-AP Studio Art students showcase works based on artists ranging from Francisco Goya’s seminal late 1700’s suite of etchings Los Caprichos through Edward Hopper’s beautiful scenes, Abstract Expressionism, and the contemporary art world.
