Deerfield girls varsity lacrosse came out on fire against Taft and earned a 2-0 lead within the first two minutes of the contest, propelling the Big Green to a 13-10 victory over the Rhinos in a physical and hard-fought game.
The Big Green entered the Spring Family Weekend match up on a two game winning streak while the Rhinos were undefeated prior to Saturday’s contest.
The Big Green offered one of their strongest and most balanced team performances of the season.
In the goal-cage, Morgan Giardina ’22 amassed 20 saved and played a critical role in helping the Doors secure the team victory.
With Saturday’s victory, the Big Green improve their season record to 4-2. They will return to action this Wednesday, April 27 when they travel to Williston Northampton School. The first draw is scheduled for 3pm. Tune in to watch Williston’s livestream of the game.
