For the first time in history, a Deerfield squash team made it to the finals of Division 1 in the High School Team Championships. In the first round of play, Deerfield defeated Hotchkiss 7-0, moving the team to the quarter finals to play a strong Sacred Heart team. The girls kept their momentum going and defeated Sacred Heart 6-1. In the semi-finals, Deerfield played beautifully against a deep, talented Baldwin team from Philadelphia. By defeating Baldwin 6-1, Deerfield made it to the tournament finals, where the team faced the defending national champions Greenwich Academy. The Deerfield girls played their hearts out, but lost the match 6-1. Hallie Dewey, playing in the #1 position, proved to be the lone victor for Deerfield, skillfully defeating her GA opponent 3-1.
