On Saturday, at the most recent track and field tri-meet between Deerfield, Choate and St. Paul’s, the Big Green hosts’ continued their historic 2022 season performances. Collectively, the boys and girls track and field teams defeated both Choate and St. Paul’s.
On their way to victory, two student-athlete’s – Kaelin Creagh ’24 and Josephine Louis ’23 – set two new school records during the meet, permanently etching their names in the Deerfield history books.
Kaelin Creagh ran the grueling 400 Meter race finishing ahead of all the other racers with a time of 59.75 seconds. Her time bested the previous 400 meter school record set by Tatum McInerney in 2013 with a time of 59.84.
This marks the third school record that Kaelin has set this 2022 season. She currently holds the school record in the 100 Meter, 200 Meter and 400 Meter races.
In the pole vault event, Josephine Louis ’23 cleared 9’ 6” in Saturday’s meet to claim her own school record. The previous school record was set in 2009 by Kat Chamberlain-Harrington at 9’3”.

With two more track and field meets including the New England Championships on the horizon, there is plenty of time for more records to be set at the track this season!
