Jaxon Palmer ’21 recorded the biggest victory of her rookie campaign for Middlebury College at Saturday’s NESCAC Track & Field Championship hosted by Hamilton College. Jaxon tossed the javelin to a triumphant distance of 114’4”. Her victory was one of four first place finishes for the Panthers which helped the 21st-ranked Middlebury Women’s Track & Field team claim the 2022 NESCAC Championship, scoring 149 points.
Previously this season, Jaxon claimed first place in the javelin throw on April 23 at the tri-meet with Union College and Plattsburg State. She also finished in first place in the javelin at the Silfen Invitational 2022 (April 15-16) and the Amherst Spring Fling (April 9).
Saturday’s victory, marks the first time since 2000 that Middlebury has claimed the NESCAC Title.
