Tomorrow, Deerfield teams will begin their fall 2020 competition schedule. The “mission of the competition” is to replicate game day preparations and contests, allowing teams to compete with one another in the absence of hosting or traveling to another school. The contests provide the opportunity for team’s to develop team strategy and build upon their team camaraderie.
Last Wednesday, the varsity volleyball team began this fall’s competition with a close 2 – 1 win for Team Green. Daphne Gavros, Kate Shanahan, and Michelle Zimmerman led their team to the victory. Tune in for this week’s rematch!
Each team has been split equally by their coaches and they will compete against one another on the following dates:

Wednesday, October 28
Wednesday, November 4
Saturday, November 7
The game schedules and livestreams are posted on the Athletics website. Each game will keep score, have referees, and will be counted toward an overall Green vs. White standings that will be recorded on the website. Then, on the final day of the Fall season, all teams will play on Saturday, November 7, and each side will try to “win the day,” just as we would have done with the traditional Choate Day. We hope our students at all levels seize the opportunity to compete again and play hard for their team!
