Golf Opens Season with a Double Win

On Wednesday, in their first outing of the season, the varsity golf squad earned a double win, defeating both Avon and NMH at the Feeding Hills Country Club. The veteran group scored a collective 191, which was 8 strokes ahead of Avon (199) and 24 strokes ahead of host school NMH (215).

Senior captain Lowell Weil lead the way for the Big Green shooting a 34 on the day. He was closely followed by teammates Kimberly Stafford ’19 at 38 strokes, Ben Hirsch ’18 (42), Garrett Moe ’19 (41) and James Whiteley ‘20 (36) and Matt Brosseau ’19 (46).

The Big Green will return to the course this Saturday, April 14 as they travel to Exeter to face-off against the Big Red in a head-to-head match-up.
