On Wednesday, the girls varsity hockey team scored a trio of goals to defeat visiting rival Choate Rosemary Hall, 3-2.
The team was excited to return to action and played with a lot of energy after a 31-day lay-off from playing against outside competition.
Bliss Vernon ’22 ignited the scoring for the Big Green, recording the first goal of the game.
Later, Emma Gurnell ’22 recorded the Big Green’s second goal of the game, assisted by Jackson Kinsler ’22.
Sage Piekarski ’23 recorded the third game winning goal for the Doors, assisted by Kinsler and Gurnell.
In goal, Grace Caligiuri ’22 had a strong performance and helped the squad earn the win.
Early in the season, the Big Green record stands at 3-2-1. The team returns to action on Friday, 1/21 hosting New Hampton.
