On Friday in Burlington, VT at the Dudley H. Davis Athletics Center, Drew Philie ’09 along with four new members were inducted into the University of Vermont Hall of Fame.
Following his Deerfield career, Philie attended the University of Vermont and played men’s lacrosse.
During his collegiate career, Philie was named the 2010 America East Rookie of the Year and the 2010 America East Fan’s Choice Player of the Year. He was named Second Team All-Conference all four seasons with the Catamounts. Philie finished his career ranked second in program history in all-time goals (124), fifth in all-time points (176) and 10th in all-time assists (52). Captained the team in his final three years at Vermont. Ended his career on a 48-game point-scoring streak, which was third longest in the nation at the time. As a senior was Named to the NEILA All-New England Second Team and led the team in points (44) and goals (35).

As a Deerfield student, Philie was a three-sport varsity athlete in football, hockey and lacrosse, and captained all three teams.
Upon graduating from UVM, Philie returned to Deerfield and currently serves as the tenth grade class dean, an assistant athletic director and coaches both hockey and lacrosse.
