Boys Lacrosse Learns from the Pros at Preseason Camp

Student-athletes on the boys lacrosse preseason trip to IMG Academy had the opportunity to learn from two professional athletes, Alex Killorn ’08 and Casey Powell, during their time in Florida.

Senior players had the opportunity to meet and hear advice from NHL player Alex Killorn ’08 after his game on March 20^th vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs. That night, Killorn netted the game-winner for Tampa Bay in their 4-3 win.

Later in the week, the players practiced under the direction of former college standout and former professional player, Casey Powell. Powell shared with the team what it means to compete and practice with both intensity and purpose.

The group will return to campus ready for the 2018 season. The boys varsity team will face-off against Belmont Hill in a scrimmage at home on Wednesday, March 28^th and kick-off their regular season schedule against Brunswick on Saturday, March 31^st. Saturday’s home game is slated to start at 3pm.
