Varsity baseball pitcher Henry Gustavson ’20 threw a no hitter in yesterday’s road game at Cushing Academy, propelling the Big Green to a 6-0 league win over the Cushing Penguins.
Henry faced 23 batters (two over the minimum) and threw only 64 pitches for the complete game win.
At the plate, the Big Green batters had 10 hits in the game resulting in six runs scored. The team’s offense was led by junior David Thomas’ three hits and Tyler Mudd’s ’21 two hits and two runs scored.
With yesterday’s impressive win, the Doors improve their season record to 8-3. The team will look to avenge their April league loss to Worcester Academy this Saturday, 5/4 at Worcester. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00pm.
