Avery Burns Records 1000th Career Point

Congratulations to Avery Burns ’22 who scored her 1000th career point at Andover on January 22, 2022!

A point guard on the basketball court, Avery graduated from Nauset High School in the spring of 2021 and joined the Big Green in the fall of 2021 as a post-graduate.

This summer, Avery was the winner of the 2021 Girls Division A Short for Life Challenge. She shot an 82.4% to take home the title of “The Best Shooter in Massachusetts.”

At Deerfield for the 2021-2022 year, Avery is helping to lead the Big Green girls basketball team. Currently the team holds a 6-4 overall record and will return to action on February 9th when they travel to tip-off against Suffield.

Congratulations, Avery! This is such an amazing accomplishment.
