Deerfield captured their 3rd Bowl win in 4 seasons with a 27-14 win over Belmont Hill. Deerfield scored on their opening drive with 5 minutes left in the first quarter and never looked back. Belmont Hill, who came into the game averaging 36.5 points per game over their last 7 games, didn’t score their first touchdown until 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter. On defense, DL Luke Reilly, Grant Ramsey, and Cole Bennett each had sacks and DE Max Hobbs recovered a fumble in the 3rd quarter when Belmont Hill was in the red zone ready to score. Offensively the OL paved the way for RBs Jamezell Lassiter and RB Malachi Costello to run for 270 yards. Costello led all rushers with 155 yards and Lassiter scored 3 touchdowns. WR Triston Ward caught a 12 yard TD pass from QB Cole Geer in the 2nd quarter. Deerfield finished the season 7-3 with a perfect 5-0 record on the road.
