Deerfield improved to 4-1 on the season and 3-0 on the road after a convincing 42-21 victory over Loomis Chaffee. On defense OLB Max Gainey returned from injury and got his first start of the season and played very well. Gainey and ILB Ethan Roossien led the team in tackles and Max added a 30 yard interception return for a touchdown in the 1st quarter. DE Max Hobbs had his best game of the year with 5 tackles and multiple quarterback pressures. On offense Deerfield continued to dominate on the ground. QB Cole Geer, RB Malachi Costello, and RB Jameszell Lassiter all scored rushing touchdowns. Jameszell added a receiving touchdown and WR Triston Ward scored his first TD of the year on a 63 yard pass right at the end of the 2nd quarter.
