Conditions at Canterbury last Saturday were perfect for the big invitational that marks the start of DXC away meets. As always, there was a fun atmosphere as teams warmed up, raced, and cheered each other on, and the Deerfield team was no exception. After enthusiastically cheering on the boys, the girls ran their own race and did an awesome job. Alexis Miller ’24 showed off her comfort with elevation as she stormed up the final hill to come in fifth, and Lillian Auth ’24 wasn’t far behind her, staying determined until the very end to come in ninth. Kyla Wagstaff ’24, Lexi Watson ’24, and Victoria Lee ’25 finished out the top five for the Deerfield girls team. Canterbury is a tough course, but the girls pushed themselves and each other to earn fourth place.
