In a Friday night road match, Deerfield defeated Miss Hall’s School 3-0 (25-14, 25-8, 25-8).

After the back roads drive, Deerfield arrived in Pittsfield for a quick warm-up. Deerfield’s serving errors in the first set allowed Miss Hall’s to gain points, but Deerfield was able to take control of their own side of the court and focus on our own play to win the set.

In the 2nd and 3rd sets, Deerfield was able to gain control of the court early. Particular shout-outs to players stepping into new and expanded roles: Meghan Holland ‘23 as setter; Michelle Zimmerman ‘21 as outside hitter; Emily Pajak ‘21 as defensive specialist; and Tory Hansen ‘21 as right-side hitter.

Deerfield returns to the court on Wednesday for a road game against Williston; game time is 3pm.
