The Boys Jr A Soccer team’s game against Westminster School ended in a 0 – 0 tie on Wednesday afternoon at home. Deerfield played well, showing itself increasingly capable of moving the ball efficiently, outmaneuvering a very physical Westy attack and keeping them on defense. Unfortunately, the team just failed to get the ball in the goal, a consistent struggle this season. Keeper Bob Zhang made some highlight-reel saves, and the DA defense also benefited from the improved play of backs Tom Park and Atang Peloewetse, as well as the same rock-solid defending that sweeper Alex Strait has executed all fall. The team will take its hunt for more goals to Saturday’s Parents’ Weekend game at home against Eaglebrook.
