Boys Jr. A Soccer played a match at home against Eaglebrook on Saturday to cap off Family Weekend. After scuffling through the first 35 minutes, Deerfield came from behind with an uptempo second half to end to a 3-3 draw. The first DA goal was scored by ninth-grade forward Peter Kurto, who faced the goalie one on one after making a breakaway. Captain Alex Strait has his second header into the goal of the season, this time off a great corner kick from midfielder Will Yang. Senior forward Jared Faux made the game-tying goal with under five minutes left on the clock. The team heads heads to the Williston Northampton School on Wednesday.
