Traveling to Simsbury to play Westminster, Deerfield faced the Martlets with a different starting lineup because a couple key players were still recovering from illnesses. Deerfield’s top 5 players won easily. Ashley Manning at #1, Harbour Woodward at #2, Isabella Rolfe at #3, Griffin Dewey at #4 and Soo-Min Lee at #5 never gave up more than 5 points in a given game. Maya Hart at #7, playing up 4 spots, put in a good effort, but lost 3-0, and Katie Parker at #6, playing up 2 spots, won her first two games before dropping the next three in a valiant five game loss. Deerfield returned home with a 5-2 victory, keeping the team’s undefeated record intact.
