On a frigid Saturday afternoon, Deerfield’s girls JV hockey team took on Cushing in Greenfield, MA. The Big Green came out firing and scored five goals in the first period by five different players: Hannah Roche, Tierney Roche, Bailey Cheetham, Juliet Perry, and Meredith Heaney. In the second period, Tierney and Bailey each added another tally but Cushing was able to put one in before the period was over, making the score 7-1. DA put together some impressive passing combinations in the third, and Ellie Shilling, Maggie Roche, and Heaney were each able to add another tally to finish out the game with a 10-1 win. The girls worked well together and had a lot of fun playing against Cushing. Next up: Deerfield takes on NMH at Eaglebrook School on Wednesday. Go Big Green!
