Become a “Big” – Big Brothers Big Sisters Volunteer Opportunity for Rising Juniors

If you are a rising junior and are interested in becoming a Big, join us for an info session on Tuesday, April 9 during community time in the CSGC.

Interviews with BBBS staff will be held on 4/14 and 4/28, and can be scheduled here. Applications will be made available after the interview process with a deadline of 5/13.

If you are not familiar with the program, read on for more information:

Big Brothers Big Sisters, a national mentoring program, pairs junior students at Deerfield Academy in 1:1 “matches” with children from the local community. The “Bigs” and “Littles” spend time together here on campus every Friday evening: playing board games and drawing in the Parker room, eating in the dining hall, playing basketball in the gym, and throwing footballs and Frisbees around outside. It is a great way to help a child by providing the friendship and guidance of a positive role model, but mostly it is just a lot of fun!

If you would like more information about the program, please contact Noah Pfeiffer at Big Brothers Big Sisters: npfeiffer@bbbs-fc.org or stop by the CSGC.
