We have learned that Comcast is doing some work to upgrade services in our area. They are currently working on the infrastructure surrounding our campus. They also need to get into buildings to replace equipment. We have worked with them to schedule the work in buildings, which will be done during Thanksgiving week. More information will be available as Thanksgiving approaches.
We have not been able to get a schedule for the work they are doing around town. There have been multiple surprises over the last couple of days. If you live in a dorm or an Academy-owned house, you may experience a Cable TV or Internet outage. If you do, it should be brief. If may be so brief that you don’t even notice. If you have an outage that lasts for more than 30 minutes, please reach out to the ITS Help Desk at helpdesk@deerfield.edu, 413-774-1444, and let us know.
