On Thursday night, January 18, at 7:00 pm in the Hess Auditorium, we’ll welcome back the Academy Events program and celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop with a performance by the Rennie Harris Puremovement American Street Dance Theater. The company will offer two master classes on Thursday that are open to the entire Deerfield community. The first is an elementary-level hip-hop class during Community Time from 10:05 to 10:50 am. Sneakers are encouraged, and no previous dance experience is necessary. The second class is geared towards intermediate and advanced dancers and will run from 3:15 to 4:15 pm. Both master classes will be held in Studio I. The show on Thursday night is a required event that will run from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. We hope that you enjoy it!
