Entrepreneurship: The Inside Scoop

Max Miller is an Associate Professor of Business & Entrepreneurship and director of Entrepreneurial Studies at Washington & Jefferson College. Mr. Miller will be one of the first guest speakers to be hosted at Deerfield in 2024, arriving on January 13 and speaking that Sunday on the 14. This event will be co-hosted by Deerfield’s Men of Color (DMOC) alliance and the Entrepreneurship Club in an attempt to spread awareness of current trends and important issues in today’s entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial world. Mr. Miller will teach Deerfield students and lead a workshop about understanding the fundamentals of market research and idea validation, raising capital, and go-to-market strategies, among other things. The event will be hosted in the Garonzik Auditorium on Sunday, January 14, from 2 to 5 pm. For those with further interest, there will be an evening session after sit-down dinner as well that will include topics such as understanding entrepreneurial ecosystems, the role of the entrepreneurial mindset in the workplace, AI/technology advancements, and educational pathways to entrepreneurial success.
