DA provides tickets and transportation to a special musical event in Easthampton on Friday, October 6, featuring La Perla, a trio of singers and percussionists from Colombia mixing traditional folk and Afro-Colombian rhythms with rap and beatboxing.

The bus will leave at 6:45 pm and we’ll return around 10:30 pm. The venue is about 30 minutes away from Deerfield. We have secured 20 tickets for this event, which will be offered to those who sign up on a first-come, first-served basis. We will also maintain a waitlist. In Colombia’s capital of Bogota, La Perla are sometimes referred to as the Three Drum Witches — they’re a one-of-a-kind vocal and drum trio with powerful lyricism, charged lyrics, and a cross-pollinated expression of Lat-Am genres such as cumbia, bullerengue, merengue, gaita, chalupa, samba, and champeta, layered with the urban elements of contemporary Bogota and the international influences of hip-hop and rock n’ roll.
