Happy National Poetry Month!

The library’s annual Poetry Madness tournament has returned! This year, we are highlighting poetry by women. These eight poems reflect a variety of voices and forms, and we hope you enjoy reading through them!

Here’s how it works: Eight poems enter the March Madness-style tournament, but only one poem will be voted the ultimate winner by the Deerfield community. The student who most closely predicts the tournament’s outcome in their bracket will receive a prize (this year, we’re giving away an Instax mini camera and film!) and be crowned this year’s Poetry Madness Champion! We’ve made it easy to participate online, but you can also submit a paper copy.

How to participate:

1. Visit this form to read the poems and submit your bracket.
2. Send your predictions by Sunday, April 16 (digital and paper copies are welcome).
3. Tune into the Bulletin starting next Monday, April 17, to vote on the daily match-up!
