On Door to Door Podcast: Join the conversation as Avery interviews Chris Waddell ’87

Chris Waddell competed in seven Paralympics, winning thirteen medals. He won World Championships in Alpine Skiing and Wheelchair Track and climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in a handcycle to turn the perception of disability upside down. Collaborating on an award-winning documentary about the effort, he felt that if you don’t tell the story, it didn’t happen. The skiing accident that paralyzed him took his identity as a young, vibrant athlete, but he found his greatest strength and power in the uncertainty of recovery.
