Everyone’s invited to join my family and me for a cookout and fire pit hang celebrating Lag B’Omer. This minor Jewish holiday has a similar energy to the American Memorial Day—marked with picnics and bonfires. The holiday’s origins are a little murky, but a popular tradition says on this day, a plague ended. If burgers, hot dogs, and s’mores sound good to you, join us on the Mather/Scaife Quad on Monday, May 8, from 6-7 pm.
