Albany Road is excited to announce that our senior board applications are officially open for the 2023-2024 school year! This means if you want to apply for Editor-in-Chief or Managing Editor(s), this is the time.
Just to clarify, you don’t have to be a rising senior to apply for senior board positions; we encourage everyone to try! However, if you want to be a board member or editor, you should wait for the applications starting next school year.
The application is here. Please complete the application and return it to zlin23@deerfield.edu before Sunday, April 30. We will contact you shortly after for an interview.

Editor-in-Chief
• Determine the direction of Albany Road (make decisions about new initiatives, reforms, or projects and make necessary plans to execute your vision)
• Promote enthusiasm and appreciation for the arts at Deerfield
• Ensure work is going smoothly by overseeing, checking in with and, if necessary, assisting other senior editors
• Edit and proofread magazine drafts, lead editing circles with board
• Communicate with external printers, communications office, faculty advisors, etc.
• Write the opening Letter from the Editor
Managing Editor:
• Plan out the calendar for each term, oversee the execution of calendar items
• Monitor that the process is on time
• Edit and proofread magazine drafts, lead editing circles with board
• Communicate with external printers, communications office, faculty advisors, etc.
• Potentially write the opening Letter from the Editor
