Barracuda Email Defense System Upgrade
Sunday, December 18
As you know, ITS has been working for several months to move all students and employees from Office on-premise to MS Office365 in the Cloud. Now that we have completed the move to Office 365, the email defense system, known as Barracuda, is being updated as well. You may be familiar with this service as the location where you manage your quarantine messages. On the evening of Sunday, December 18, the Barracuda service will be updated, which will only very briefly disrupt email delivery and should not be noticeable. Within a couple of hours of the update, a new service for users to manage messages will be available and will have a new look with much more functionality than just managing quarantine messages. It will include the ability for you to view and manage the message log for all your messages sent from outside sources. A brief document that describes the new service is available here* and includes images of what to expect for the new email notification and web portal. Additional links are included in the document for those wishing to learn more about the service and how to manage their account.
