The Community Service Farm Team (Sasha, Gabriel, Tamutenda, Keoni, Lyla, and Rachel) completed work for two local farms (Natural Roots, in Conway, and Riverland Farm, in Sunderland) throughout the Fall Term. Natural Roots is owned by David Fisher, who is pictured in the photo with one of his draft horses. We harvested beets, carrots, squash, potatoes, and kale, sorted onions, and shallots, and planted garlic. We helped the farmers with weeding and clearing weed-blocking materials, and we cleaned up greenhouses for the planting of winter crops. We often returned covered in dirt, tired, and grateful for the opportunity to serve the community in a meaningful way. Many thanks to the Farm Team!!
